Good lighting is one of the most important elements we consider when designing a project for a homeowner. Along with including plenty of recessed lighting, we provide room for decorative lights that can add good style. Here are some examples of beautiful decorative lights in some recent Wood Wise projects. Each light is a reflection of the homeowner’s personality and sense of style. The kitchen sink is a star player in this kitchen remodel. The homeowners chose the Kohler Stages to meet both their cooking needs and make a great design impact. This under mount single bowl sink is a whopping 45” wide and comes with a stepped side platform for drying dishes. An array of accessories come with it, including food prep bowls, trays, and cutting boards, all of which fit the opening. It makes use of a usually wasted counter area and keeps food juices confined to the sink. The engineered sound-absorption system significantly reduces disposal and dishwashing noise. When we finish a remodeling project, our homeowners are asked to take a survey about their experience with Wood Wise. Here is one recent comment we received from a homeowner who just finished her second Wood Wise remodeling project:

“Kathy (Wood Wise’s designer) used her experience and talent to point out key things during the selection process that I would have missed, like making sure templates were laid in the best possible place on the granite slabs to take advantage of attractive lines or to avoid “ugly spots.” Ben (Wood Wise’s project manager) paid particular attention to my comments and always quickly resolved concerns (like getting crown molding to match my existing moldings) or explained things I didn’t understand. And Greg (Wood Wise’s head carpenter) did a beautiful job with details as always like my chair rail! My thanks to all of them!”

In keeping with the contemporary look of this recent whole house remodel, Wood Wise designed and built these great looking stair rails. The powder-coated steel cables look sleek and keep the view open. The oak posts and handrail add warmth and seem to flow from the wood floors.

Check out this dream kitchen, ready for holiday entertaining. Wood Wise recently completed this whole house renovation, taking out walls and making better use of the existing space. Now the kitchen is open to the living area, making traffic flow better and filling the area with light. Clean lines and updated finishes add to the gorgeous transformation.
