With cherry cabinets and beautiful granite countertops, this Wood Wise-designed kitchen with tons of storage is not only practical but pleasing to the eye. The white oak flooring provides comfort underneath the feet and the big island calls friends and family to gather.
Providing our clients with the best building products is a top priority for Wood Wise Design & Remodeling. We stay on top of new materials, colors, and designs by working closely with our suppliers and trade partners. One of the latest trends for bathroom remodeling is the elegant freestanding tub. Whether a contemporary soaking tub or vintage slipper claw foot, these tubs always add a touch of luxury to any bathroom. Here are two examples from Wood Wise projects:
Lots of visitors, a beautiful remodeling project, and wonderful comments helped make this year’s Remodelers Home Tour one of our best. Many features of the kitchen caught the attention of our visitors such as the custom American Cherry checkerboard pattern breakfast bar, the under-mount porcelain coated cast-iron double sink, Verde Butterfly granite, KraftMaid beadboard Cabinets, and more. A real favorite was the screen porch added across the back of the house. The Velux skylight lights up the kitchen window. Rope lighting around the ceiling perimeter creates a great mood and gives soft light without glare. And with spacious dimensions of 12 x 24, the porch provides plenty of room for entertaining as well as being a daily oasis for the family.
“Five Points Charmer” is our feature home in this year’s Remodelers Home Tour. With the goal of updating their 90 year old home with a new kitchen, the homeowners asked Wood Wise to help them with the thoughtful design and construction. They achieved their goal of warmth and efficiency without adding on. This is the homeowners’ comment when the project was completed : “We were thrilled with the work done on our home. Our little bungalow has been transformed, and we didn’t have to enlarge the footprint of the house.”
Please come by this weekend to see the beautiful results for yourself. We would love to see you!
Working with our designer Kathy, these homeowners made excellent selections that transformed their tired kitchen into an elegant room. Warmer weather calls us to head outside and experience our beautiful North Carolina springtime. What could be better than to enjoy it on this thoughtfully designed all-season porch? The natural stone floor extends from the screened-in porch to the pergola-covered grilling terrace. With a dining area, a stone fireplace with mounted TV, and comfortable seating, these homeowners are ready to gather with friends and family.
Beautiful cabinets are at the center of any kitchen or bathroom remodeling project. Wood Wise makes the selection of those cabinets easier by providing our own showroom. The three lines of cabinetry we carry are KraftMaid and Waypoint which provide many combinations of door styles, finishes, and hardware to meet different design needs and budgets. We have several kitchen vignettes set up which allow you to feel the full-extension anti-slam drawers and see the great features available such as spice and appliance storage, wastebasket storage, corner cabinet storage, and much more. Come in and let Kathy, our designer, help you achieve your dream of a beautiful and convenient kitchen.

These homeowners wanted an updated and open kitchen, more suited to their active lifestyle. Taking out the wall cabinets that separated the breakfast nook and kitchen instantly expanded the feel of the room. Instead of trying to tie in to the existing oak floors in the adjoining room they chose green bamboo to give a fresh look to their great kitchen. Check out the before and after photos below to see how Wood Wise helped these homeowners achieve their remodeling goals.
Greg Eatz, lead carpenter for Wood Wise, is turning lots of heads as he drives around town in our new van. Along with featuring the Wood Wise logo and great photos of some of our beautiful projects on the sides, the van helps keep Greg’s tools organized and ready for use.

Taking out the wall that separated the kitchen and family room opened up the feel of this home without the expense of adding on. Glass doors replace a window and old door making for good traffic flow to the new screened-in porch. The thoughtfully designed remodeled kitchen along with new oak floors throughout complete this beautiful make-over.
