This past Sunday, families, friends, and volunteers gathered at Sugg Farm in Holly Springs for the North Carolina Down Syndrome Alliance Buddy Walk. Wood Wise was glad to be one of this year’s sponsors.
The NCDSA’s motto is “empower, connect, support,” and they live it out every day. They offer programs, resources, and community for people with Down syndrome and their families across North Carolina, from new parents looking for guidance to adults building independent lives. The Buddy Walk brings that whole community together in one place and raises the funds that keep their work going all year.
We were happy to help make this year’s walk possible, and we’re cheering on every family who took part.
We’ve been part of the Raleigh area for 36 years, and supporting the people and organizations who make this a good place to live matters to us as much as the homes we build.
Thank you to the NCDSA staff and volunteers for all you do. To learn more about their work or find ways to get involved, visit ncdsalliance.org.
