  • Houzz

Houzz.com is a great housing website that features professional photos of homes improved by builders, remodelers, and designers across the country. You can “save” the beautiful photos to idea books for inspiration as you dream about your next remodeling project. Wood Wise’s profile on Houzz features over 60 of our projects from kitchens to bathrooms to outdoor living spaces. One of our most popular photos is this side porch entrance that features a stone patio and trellis. It’s been saved to almost 5,000 idea books:

  • Thinking Small

Part of the challenge of good design is making the most of small spaces. Arranging the necessary components in small bathrooms makes us stay on the lookout for new designs in plumbing fixtures. One of the neatest ones we’ve seen is the Geberit concealed tank toilet. The guaranteed not-to-leak tank is concealed inside the wall making it a good choice for a small bathroom. The seat is suspended from the wall with no plumbing on the floor to clean around. Check it out in this short video:

  • From The Beginning

Since the start of Wood Wise in the early ‘90s until now, owner Hank Wall has made homes in the Raleigh area more beautiful. He has brought good design and project management to every renovation, working to make the process enjoyable for the homeowner as well as giving beautiful results. In the inaugural year of the STAR awards sponsored by the Remodelers Council of Wake County, Wood Wise won several “best of” awards. And the awards have kept coming year after year since.

Hank brings great design and beautifully remodeled homes to the Raleigh area, whether sporting a mustache or not.

  • Reasons to Remodel

Updating, better use of space, and improving the looks are just some of the reasons homeowners remodel their homes. A 4-time repeat Wood Wise client had an additional reason for her renovation. Read her comments from a recent follow-up email:

Everything is working as expected.  We had made changes to our downstairs bathroom to accommodate Steve’s recovery from knee replacement surgery (and it desperately needed updating) and the remodel has stood up to all of our expectations. Also, the powder room constantly gets compliments! The Wood Wise team did an awesome job as always and we thank you all for that!

Whether you need your home to live more conveniently or you dream of living in a more beautiful space, Wood Wise can make it happen.

  • Enjoying the Holidays

Holidays are a great revealer of the state of our homes. With friends and family gathering, we often find out how convenient (or inconvenient) the kitchen is, whether doorways create traffic jams, or if seating arrangements are awkward. We dream about our homes becoming beautiful, organized, and convenient.

Let 2017 be the year that you make those dreams come true. Call Wood Wise at 919 783 9330 to set up a visit and see how we can help you realize your vision. We work with you to design your space to be functional, attractive, and to reflect the way you live. Then we bring in the best craftsmen to make that concept a reality.

A beautifully remodeled home will help you enjoy your everyday life and the holidays more. We can help.

  • Remodeling Relationships

The world of remodeling is not usually known for fostering loving relationships between the remodeler and the homeowner. Often the best a homeowner hopes for is to persevere through the renovation without ending up in court. There’s a better way. Wood Wise seeks to make lasting friendships with our clients. From the first appointment to working together in the design development, and especially through the construction process, our goal is to treat all our homeowners with kindness and thoughtfulness. We genuinely aim to be friends. Nurturing these relationships results in homeowners turning to Wood Wise for second, third, and even fourth projects. Here’s what one of our homeowners, now our good friends, had to say recently after we completed their third project, this time on their retirement home:

“I would highly recommend the company, they are very courteous and quite professional. I can’t say enough about how professional and kind and courteous the staff was. They left everything as clean as they could and I knew every day what was going to be going on. They were always in touch with me and I appreciate that kind of service. I got the best in workmanship from all the subcontractors. It was a great relationship.”

  • Giving Thanks

Happy Thanksgiving from your friends at Wood Wise.
