Good Karma Wood Wise contributes 2.5% of pre-tax profit to charitable organizations and nonprofits. Giving at the corporate level, in the form of both money and person power, improves both the community and the company. With advice from Creative Philanthropy, we identified several groups to assist as they serve the needs of our area: Habitat for Humanity, YMCA—We Build People, Urban Ministries, and Neighbor 2 Neighbor. Design-oriented remodeling has become the company’s strong suit and has led to numerous Remodelors Council STAR Awards, including Best Kitchen, Best Sunroom, Best Whole House Renovation, Best Bathroom, Best Basement, and Best Addition. The STAR Awards judge craftsmanship, design, lighting, problems overcome, and customer satisfaction. Wood Wise has won 15 STAR Awards at the HBA of Raleigh-Wake County.
