A brief history Established in 1990 and incorporated in 1994, Wood Wise has completed over 380 remodeling projects since our first kitchen remodeling project in January of 1990—Hank’s neighbors, Hal and Alice Burrows. The company expanded in 2000, adding a kitchen cabinet showroom. We have also added designers and multiple project managers and relocated our office to Glen Royal Road, off Glenwood Avenue near CarMax in Raleigh, NC. Since our inception, we have maintained high standards that emphasize efficiency, craftsmanship at all levels, and good communication with clients. In 2002 Susan Hickman was recruited to head up the design department. She now handles design options and project plans, and she helps clients with the myriad decisions related to products, lighting, and selections. David Clark, Ben Toney, and Steve Zulkosky are Wood Wise’s Project Managers. They are all cool and calm as your house is torn apart and put back together and are among the best remodeling carpenters in the Raleigh area.
